That’s not all though. While in space, the spaceships malfunctions and crash lands in a lake on an island that is populated by cannibals. Once he is saved he becomes a famous wrestler to save money for the shrimp business. Once that fails he plays chess in a huge tournament to try and win the prize money, and while doing this he some how also becomes a movie actor. All these events seem very too unlikely to happen making the book much more unrealistic than the movie. The people who made the movie took the novel and turned it into a story that could be a person’s true-life story. Getting rid of all the unnecessary parts that had nothing to do with the main point of the story like going to space or becoming a wrestler. They made a movie that won many awards and would never b e forgotten by any one who saw it.
